Turkey is an Arabic country located in Central Europe and Asia Minor. Their capital city Istanbul, Turkey is a highly urbanized region with many districts. The total area is approx. 3,500 square miles and their population are over 1,000,000 people (according to official figures 2016) and its estimated GDP is 12.2% of global GDP according to the World Bank.
Due to its extensive natural environment, Turkey has become a popular tourist destination. There are many sites you may visit if you can picture a mountain on fire or sandstone cliffs that drop into valleys. the Ancikaleon neighborhood of Ankara, the island of Bursa (of which the largest, Suseimaniye, is one of the most well-liked). The scenery is so beautiful that it reminds me of a scene from Greek mythology.
But the most famous place in Turkey for tourists in Istanbul. The history of this city should not be forgotten at all. It was established at the time when Europe was colonized by Italy and later in 1871 a Russian man named Alexander II made it the capital of the Ottoman Empire and later became the Governor of Istanbul until 1919 when he was killed during a coup. His nephew Nuri Hayduci took power in 1943 but died within two years. In 1945 the Allies landed in Turkey and were welcomed by President Peralta who ordered a free press under the new government. In 1947, they returned after the war ended. It is a beautiful city with a lot of ancient churches, but the main attraction is the great museum building that contains valuable artifacts from the past. With such a rich history, we cannot forget the history of these buildings, museums, and monuments. Turkey would never forget them as part of the Ottoman Empire, and the country remains proud of its heritage.
Turkish dramas are very old since the Middle Ages to start with. There are thousands of Turkish Dramas, each telling different stories and creating a distinct character. Some of them are written by Turkish authors, while some are adapted or directed by foreign actors. I strongly recommend you to watch both Turkish Drama and Urdu Drama. Both have very good scripts with the same story and actors in both languages. Here are the top 5 Turkish dramas of the year 2018-19.
1) Sabah
Among the featured actors are Seda Cakici, Aylin Koc, and Oruç Berber. This Turkish drama shows how life is in Turkey. We learned from this incident that everything we go through will eventually lead to a final destination, which had a significant impact on our lives. My love of books and art was the most important factor for me personally. My family and I live in a rural suburb of Ankara in a small town where everything is very close to nature. There are a lot of homes with gardens, and the trees there look like they are growing from the marble-green rock. The lighting on the streets is beautiful. Aylin Kroc's acting, in which she also appears in other roles and portrays a woman who is extremely passionate about her job, captivated me.
2) Gulmaz
Starring Ulaş Uzumünder, Celal Kolan, Liran Tekin, Elif Prince and others. This movie shows another side of Turkish drama. It tells the true story of Tatar who lives a nomad lifestyle in Syria and then returns home to the country. I did not like this movie. I thought it would be interesting, especially if someone from Germany or Italy watched it. But unfortunately, it just goes down to the point and it didn't tell anything else about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of any Arab countries. We can understand because of a few things that happened in this TV series. Firstly, it is based on a true story of mine. When I saw this script it felt like a dream.
The second thing is that it is a true story. Secondly, I saw the first season two days before I started watching it. So in those days, I thought it was really interesting for me to watch this. I liked what Tatar had done to his brother and the way he dealt with him. As for the third thing, I watched this season on Netflix and I have no words for you because of what happened, but we all know Turkish drama, and now it won't be long before Turkey becomes more beautiful and entertaining.
3) Hizmetler Belenize: Hatun Ki Family
It stars Mustafa Beydercis. My favorite actor in Turkish Drama, this Turkish film had a big influence on my life. It starts with two men fighting each other and ends with a tragedy. The ending is always tragic, and it makes you think about the ways people treat each other. One of the best scenes in this scene is the confrontation between Metal and Yolgen, where two young boys fight to the death. Also, after having been abused by their father, they run away to be with their mother.
In the scene where he decides to go to Turkey, Yolgen returns to commit suicide. He doesn't care about the consequences and will take revenge as soon as he turns his back on you, supported by his daughter and any heavenly rule. He takes the chance and kills himself as a result of his decisions. His younger sister, Yeni, is standing behind him and watching him. Size, whose mother perished in a plane crash and who wanted to save Yeni, goes to Turkey to either make some money or simply leave the nation. She is curious about her family's situation. She also passes away as a result of her inability to do it in time. The only one left is metal; She was an innocent child who wanted to help. She was so brave. At last, she manages to escape from that house where she was raped, beaten, and kidnapped by many people. But her father still finds his son and does not want to give him back to Metal until one day, he gets arrested by the police. Then he gives only half of Yeni’s jewelry and takes them all. Later, he gives them all back again when Yeni returns from seeing Metal.
4) Ertugrul
Starring Mehmet Soto, Murat Bozovic, mer Also, and others. It's my personal favorite. This Turkish drama shows that Turkish people have kind hearts. They are not as cruel as depicted in movies yet. There are lots of people living normal lives and showing up at clubs and parties. But they are just trying to enjoy their lives and be happy. Not everyone is good. Although Ertugrul had been raped by a gang of thugs who killed everybody in the village, they still came. I was angry, but after seeing this episode, I understood and accepted all the circumstances that make Turkish people so happy. I mean, they live a simple life. You never see Turkish people go crazy, even after losing their loved ones. And here it was portrayed in the movie. It's not just the main reason Ertugurul and Yeni were together, but the fact that Ertugrul was also murdered by a thug. However, he had made a mistake not turning her down. What's more, he took a loan from his uncle to buy clothes for Ertugurul.
5) Azim
Starring Ali Ka Sulu, Demir Belong, Sead Beydercis, Ahmet Basay, Ayshen Aytekin, and others. Another Turkish horror drama, this one has an almost romantic atmosphere to it and I think that’s why the story isn't boring. The whole story was a result of certain mistakes of the protagonist. Once when someone asks Ertugurul, “How many times have you seen Ertugurul?”, Ertugurul can never forget the number of times he sees Ertugurul. He asks Ertugurul in addition, “How much does it cost to buy him clothes?” Ertugurul has asked Ertugrul 100 times to buy his outfits but Ertugurul always said he couldn’t afford them. After doing his research and understanding Ertugurul's situation, after thinking a little bit longer Ertugurul finally decides to spend $200 on buying clothes for Ertugurul to wear!
Ali Ka Sulu is the hero of this story. Because of his bravery, he managed to get through a difficult period of life without getting hurt and he still works hard on his work. He understands what Ertugurul is going through. We see Ertugurul working on his projects and being confident in every decision made despite all the obstacles. Ertugurul is like a brother to Ertugurul. I am very happy when he is called by the name Azim from the next day's episode.
6) Do Ya Know?
Starring Emre Can and Fesal Goktali, Danyal Birajdar, Tomer Suleyman, Adem Ozu, and many others. Everyone knows Emre Can but I thought that this character is amazing and memorable. Her personality is so nice and sweet. During the entire duration of the role I saw her, this woman with blue eyes looked nice. Besides this, she has nice hair and pretty clothes. And I am very excited that after the success of "Do Ya Know?" the cast will return for another season.
